Andrew, I hope this message finds you well. We have received a request for Dell servers (see below). Could you give us a quote on a lopoco equivalent? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Tony

Hi Rafiq,

Attached is the quote for the NAS airlines spec.  I think that a few
notes are in order to explain what I did.

All the servers were specified with 3 x 300GB Raid-5 disks; I have
quoted the Lopoco equivalent as 2 x 512GB class SSDs in a RAID-1
(mirror) configuration.  3 x 300GB RAID-5 equals roughly 600GB usable
space.  Additionally the RAID-5 striping gives you performance and some
redundancy.  Two 512GB SSDs in a mirrored configuration will give
better performance, equivalent redundancy, obviously a lot less power
consumption, and the price of a 2 disk server is substantially less
than one which can fit 3 or more disks.  So this equivalency I believe
gives you cost and performance competitiveness advantages over and
above all the usual Lopoco advantages.

I am quoting our LP-4255 8-logical core server as an equivalent to all
the servers in the spec except the ones which were spec'd as "2 x Xeon
6 Cores".  For those, I've quoted our LP-6240 which I believe will be a
most excellent replacement.  In all, that's 32 x LP-4255-2H and 9 x
LP-6240-6H.

I've quoted the Windows software separately so that you guys can
explore options with the customer, for instance, if they already have
licenses that they would like to transfer, etc.  The price quoted in
this document for Windows software includes installation of the
software, FYI.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the opportunity!

Cheers,
