connecting GEN system and debugging network issues - duplicate IP addrs because havic assigned to .100, but GEN hard coded to that.  fixed DHCP assignment for havic. call with Kelly and Rick.  documenting work status.

fixed up DHCP configuration for both machines.
havic not updating its IP addr periodically, only setting it at boot time.  that's a violation of the protocol, unless its period is more than 10 hours, which is a bad idea.  should update at least every 4 hours.
is hardware selection an urgent priority?

havic: examination of card - 4x PCIe card, One small non-custom logic chip and one-timer chip, plus a data cable and a power cable going outside the box, (external)HDMI port and unidentified 6-pin header for either a cable or jumpers; card appears not to register in PCIe bus scan.
