I'll try the direct approach and see how it works.

I'm disappointed that you would direct your employee to cancel an
important process meeting that directly affects our ability deliver on
our Cougar obligations just so that you can call a meeting and have it
at the time and in the room that you want.

As far as I'm concerned, that amounts to putting your ego ahead of the
success of this company in terms of your priorities, and that's the
kind of thing that kills a company's bid for success, especially when
it's someone high up in the company heirarchy like yourself.
