Guys,

Are you guys suffering some sort of collective memory loss or something?
This has been mentioned over and over as one of the things that needs
to be fixed in our branching scheme.  There's absolutely no reason to be
reseting the histories with each branch, and it makes researching the
history of changes for a file very difficult, never mind that you can't
just tell someone, oh, sync to 2 revisions ago and use that version.
Spelunking through dead branches trying to trace through the history of
changes for a file is not the proper use of this tool.  It's supposed
to simplify an engineers job, not make it harder.
