So you think this is a waste of my time?  I'm disappointed to make that
realization.  Perhaps you believe that you've managed to send me on a
fool's errand when I should be concentrating on other things, but I've
known from the beginning, hell, I was born knowning, that this is
exactly the kind of project that tends to hide unpleasant surprises.
And the best way to shine light into the corners is to get many
eyeballs on it, so it's always been my plan to write a document like
this as well as one or more design documents.  I fear that, with the
recent layoffs, we may not have critical mass for sussing out all the
rough, hairy details, but there's nothing to do about that.
