Subject: RE: ID Mapping Account Change functional spec

5.1.2.1 and 5.1.2.2: Should we remove the [e passwordage] option since
you mention in 5 that this (need to update the domain account password
in order to avoid password expiration) should now be retired?

RB> Nope, the passwordage is a very important parameter that applies to
the entire domain.
It is still used by the machine account password update.

6 Dependencies: Web UI, help pages for domain commands, Documentation
(SAG and CR)
8.3: By id mapping, you mean implicit mapping between NIS and NTLM/KB
users or groups, or as defined by idmap entries on the gateway?

RB> That's correct.

Subject: ID Mapping Account Change functional spec

Here is the functional spec for the ID mapping account changes. In
summary,
the domain account is going away in R98 and ID mapping will use the
computer
account.

\\mightydog\Software\IDMap\IDMapAccountFuncSpec Rev 0.1.doc

Currently there's no plan for a formal review meeting. Please review
the spec
and send your comments to the distribution.

Thanks,
Ron B[ee]
