All,

If the issue is identified, is it recommended that we proceed with the
upgrade?

Please advise.

Thanks,
Kevin

Brian,
Is NONE ACL list also be converted after DB conversion is done? If ACL
list is remaining NONE, then no one can access the cifs share.

The problem is that the DFS referral for \\nis-test\storage$ is failing
from the 3.0 node. On the 2.2.2 node widelinks are enabled, however on
the 3.0 node they will not be enabled until after the cluster DB is
converted from 2.x to 3.0, which occurs after all nodes are upgraded.
Consequently, DFS is disabled on the 3.0 node in the meantime. Once
the upgrade on both nodes is completed, the widelinks will be enabled on
both nodes.

If you care about the details of how/why this DB conversion is done,
Chris can provide more details (presumably you don't care).

Brian,

It seems we cannot access CIFS shares from the node (mktg3) that has
been upgraded to Delorian. We are currently leaving the cluster in a
mid-upgraded state to troubleshoot this issue. All virtual servers,
except nis-test, are running on Dogfood for the time being, as CIFS is
working properly on pre-Delorian code. Attached is a trace from my
computer which shows what is happening when I try to access a CIFS share
from nis-test (10.0.0.9).

Sandrine and I both feel that we should figure out what the issue is
prior to moving forward. Please advise as to what your suggestion is.

Thanks,

Kevin
