Another idea is the 1250 eval board - doesn't it have PCI-X slots? It's
the ATX board, right? This might be pretty close to Cougar hardware.
Probably not worth the trouble, though.

Well, its not a matter of "WOW how do I do this"

Its just different enough that I would have liked to get that stuff
working first.

Before I need to get the now base hardware going as well.

Looking at Linux drivers, although interesting, will not really help me
in the long run.

It was just a thought... I mean Andy got him to hook up all the
interrupt lines, I thought maybe he would hook me up with a ISP2422.

=20

He must like Andy more.

Is there a 4gig PCI-X part that is pin compatible with the 2312? What
about 2422 or 2422m? They don't seem to have any chip info on their web
site anymore or I would look. Bill - would looking at Linux driver
diffs help? I haven't looked but that could be an example.

Thanks for looking into it.

Too bad though, this Chip has some very different sequence issues, and I
would have loved to get that working on the Bobcat first.

Bill,

=20

Unfortunately, this is not an option since the 2432 is not
pin-compatible with the 2312 on Bobcat. Alternatively, we could look at
getting a 2432 HBA and then plug it into a desktop machine that supports
PCI-e.

Is there any way to place the ISP2432 on the Bobcat motherboard?

I could use this for the new QLogic bring up. Even if I had to
limit the transfer to 1GB.
