If you are not running sub14, then TRY not to delete any shares. This =
also means, don't delete gns roots, volumes with shares, vsvrs with =
shares, or filers with shares. If you MUST do so, then do a "cifs show" =
and "nfs show" and "gns show cifs all" just before doing the delete. =
There's a known bug in the share delete code that I *think* is finally =
fixed in sub 14.

Okay, so no help needed at this point. Let us know if that changes.

The plan is to use a different client for the demo since the others we =
tried worked fine.

=20

Sudheesh is going to install sub14 after the demo, and after the =
problems with sub14 are resolved and try to reproduce the failure. If =
it still happens we can try to work it, although we went through a lot =
of analysis and it's unclear why the win2k3 client does not consider the =
GNS objects to be in DFS (no explorer DFS tab).

=20

Okay, may be a good issue for the internal Gotcha list if we think =
oithers may run into this.

I'm working this with Sudheesh, this is a client problem as far as we =
can tell.

=20

Hmmm, my first response is of course, but then I am not sure what you =
really need to show them, Sandrine can we give them access to one of our =
GNS configs and chat with Sudheesh to make sure it meets Sales needs and =
we can loan it to them for a couple of hours or so without hampering QA =
to badly?.

=20

Narayan/Sudheesh - Please file a bug for the issue you ran into with the =
clusterdb, want to make sure we have it addressed (may be handled =
already).

=20

Thanks,

Subject: GNS demo for Gartner - Need your help

Folks,

=20

Sudheesh and I need a Bobcat cluster (in Engg or QA) that has GNS =
installed for a demonstration to Gartner at 10am tomorrow (Thursday). =
We tried to install a pre-release version of version 3.0 for =
demonstration purposes on the SE lab machines and the cluster DB got =
messed up. Can somebody allow us to use a GNS setup for an hour =
(starting 10am tomorrow) for the demo?

=20

It will be much appreciated.

=20

Thanks in advance for your help.
