Totally agree with analyzing what's been done before you, which is why I =
asked Larry if he knew of anything laying around ( including his system =
since was contracting with Dan for the work so I'd assume he at least =
has a tree-in-progress somewhere...we'll see ).
=20
The sync-to-date thing would work, except what Dan did just looks like:
=20
-checkin base linux sources ( non-modified )
-delete same sources
-re-add new base linux sources ( non-modified )
-delete them again
-?!?!?
=20
I still need to look some more but it appears what he checked in is =
nonsense..e.g., nothing at all. I'm still waiting to hear from Larry WRT =
old trees/systems lying around, and in the meantime I'm trying to figure =
out which homedirs/systems Dan might have used via his p4 client =
information. I'll let you know of whatever I find Andy, thanks.
=20

Sometimes the best software designs are arrived at by analysing
previous imperfect ones. I'd at least like to see what direction his
stuff was heading in. I'm curious as to why he would delete it all
though. But is sounds like I can sync to a particular date and be able
to get it. Can you tell what day it was he deleted them all?

Cheers,

a
