Additional info is very important to help track down these issues.
Unfortunately this has been challenging to reproduce in-house, so until
the root causes are isolated, it will be challenging to resolve.
Fortunately at least some configurations (those used in-house) provide
reasonable performance, so this doesn't appear to be a general
performance problem, but more likely specific to certain configurations
(e.g. browser version, client memory/processor, etc.). At least that's
the working theory.

Any/all details you can provide are helpful. =20

Rich,

We are currently looking into performance issues regarding the web ui.
It would help if we could get specific information about the customer's
environment such as:

1.)	What browser and browser version are they using
2.)	What's the security level set for the browser (For IE - high,
medium or low)
3.)	Is 128-bit encryption set
4.)	Are all web ui pages slow or just the vsvr and volume pages=20
5.)	Is it a clustered environment
6.)	Is the slowness consistent or intermittent
7.)	Is the slowness experienced with regard to request/response
times, image rendering times or both=20
=09
Elogs sent for all NAS Gateways at the time this slowness is experienced
would help so we can see if there are any issues on the NAS Gateways.
The web ui uses the sscccc daemon which is a wrapper around the cli
code, so if there are any issues on the NAS Gateway it would be evident
in the web ui.

The web ui uses SSL for communication which uses port 443. It would also
help to get a dump of traffic on that port for further analysis.=20

Thanks,
Charissa

Subject: Slow web gui

Is there any information we have on how or why the web gui interface
would run extremely slowly? Several tens of seconds to refresh any
window, but eventually it comes up. The NCM on the same network seems
to run fine. Does the refresh depend on the number of objects that are
defined on the system? This customer's site has several vsvrs and
dozens of volumes and shares on each one.

Thanks,
Rich
