Andy,

Thanks. I talked about the slowness issue with Bill Duffy, Eric
Crutchlow and Sudheesh. Their customers were using high end
workstations, so I didn't think that was an issue. But keep sending me
any ideas you have about this issue.=20

=20

One customer was running the Pentara web ui and noticed that it was a
lot faster than our web ui. I looked at the Pentara web ui yesterday. It
uses simple JavaScript and it's not loaded down with images like our web
ui. They also use a WindRiver-WebServer on their box. Our web ui files
are downloaded from flash from /usr/local/agile/web. We still use the
sscccc daemon to wrap the cli code. Would replacing these components
with a web server on the box speed things up? (The code for handling the
web ui over SSL and the sscccc daemon are under the sm-sct directory.)

You probably also want to ask for data on the client hardware. What

processor and speed, what memory, etc. Since the javascript runs

interpreted on the client browser, an old laptop might be quite slow.
