Ron,
   If you want populate your p4 worksapce something other than the top =
of the tree, say submittal 3 for instance, and there is no label, then =
do the following.

Find out what the last change list # was for that submittal. It should =
be in the submittal notes or email announcement.
Next cd to your workspace branch directory and sync your tree to that =
change list number. Example

cd /homes/ronb/p4/trees/FB-DELOREAN; p4 sync ...@22123
