All,

I just wanted to send out an email letting everyone know that we have
now officially completely cut over to Pantera storage for all volumes
and virtual servers served by the Dogfood cluster. This includes
Mightydog, PHD, and Build. There is one volume remaining on the Build
virtual server that is waiting for a good opportunity to sync, but other
than that, we are running entirely on Dot Hill SATA and SAS arrays.
Additionally with the advent of this migration, we now have space for
snapshots. We are (from 3pm today forward) keeping 5 weekly, 1 daily,
and 3 days worth of hourly snapshots (8 per day) across all volumes.
With the move to Dot Hill disk, performance seems to have improved
significantly, as well as vsvr failover behavior.

Many thanks to Sudheesh, Eric B, Vikas, and Sandrine for helping get
through a couple of hiccups.

This week I will be working on cleaning up the Nexsan arrays, updating
the firmware, and setting up a new cluster for our very own DMIP
implementation running the 12/20 build of Clio. After completing local
DMIP mirrors to the new cluster, the Bobcat and Nexsan will be moved to
Pleasanton and all delta mirrors will happen over our fiber link.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Kevin
