Your change to ide-cs.c worked. I was able to boot the ssc.

I wasn't privy to the discussions about the kernel "oopses." I only
caught snippets of the conversations about kernel build problems which
prompted me to test the build on my system.

Now, to boot the embedded processors do I still need to change the
bobcat-config file to hardcode the tftpboot server as Max once
documented on the wiki?

This has been discussed several times; it oopses. I think you sent an
email about it yesterday, no?

You can remove PD6729 from the config file, or just use
bobcat-config#4 like max does.

This and 2-3 other kernel bugs are what I'm working on at the moment so
I'll let you know when there is a change.

Cheers,

PS replacement ide-cs.c file attached. copy it over
drivers/ide/legacy/ide-cs.c and remake your kernel.I was going to check
this in, but I'm having second thoughts. Try it and let me know if you
are able to boot w/o oopsing. =20
