There is the obvious reason that we don't want random people to telnet
to fp/txrx on a production system.

The messages are always saved regardless of whether access through inetd
is enabled or not.

Is there any reason not to just change the /etc/inetd.conf file in
rootfs so that it is enabled by default?
Don't we also need this change in order to get FP/TxRx console messages
into /var/log/messages?
On production systems we need the console output to be logged. This will
help a lot with
troubleshooting problems on customer systems.

By default GDB access though rcon is disabled. To enable it, in
/etc/inetd.conf, uncomment the eight lines that start with rcon.

Then reboot or just restart inetd:
./init.d/openbsd-inetd restart

Then you can run gdb, for example:
/n/Build-Trees/gdb/gdb64
/n/Build-Trees/R4.0.0.0/R4.0.0.0DEV-121707/nfx-tree/Build/cg/dbg/Images/
fp_cg

From gdb:
target pmon 10.2.10.13:61234

bt

See:
http://wiki.onstor.net/wiki/Cougar:new_rcon

The /etc/inetd.conf file on g6r10, g9r10, g10r10, g11r10, and g12r10
have been modified.
