I'm happy to report that we've completed the checkout of the physical
layer devices on Cougar, and we can send both internal and external loop
packets.  We are now at the point where we've gotten as far as we can in
PROM with the hardware bring-up. =20

There's a bit more work to do in PROM to configure HT, and once that's
done, we will be ready to fire up the FP/FC runtime so that we can
continue debugging the QLogics.  I'm hoping that this PROM work will be
completed on Monday.
