The MC restart will not affect access to the storage. The storage
controller will still be able to provide the luns the filer. This issue
was reported back on SS 40759 and Dot Hill filed their defect TT3808. =20

What effect does this MC restart have on the system?

The J200 code from Dot Hill will not be available until the end of
September. Qualification will start on the new code and will require
about two weeks of testing. Currently we're looking at mid-October to
have J200 available.

Hi All,

I have seen this twice now on Dot Hill systems in the UK:

It seems to flip flop from one controller to the other.

=20

I have raised a Dot Hill case for this ( 45057 ) and got this response
from them:

=20

This message will occur whenever there is a power-up, reset or, as in
this case, an MC restart. The MC restart is a known problem that is
resolved in J200 (which I believe is being qualified by Onstor). At this
point there is no work-around.

=20

#########

So there you go - awaiting DH/Onstor approval of firmware - time to go
and beat poor old Shawn Currin about the head.

=20

Regards ... Alan.
