Subject: Minutes from 5/20 Cougar Core Team Meeting

All,

If you missed Tuesday's meeting, then you can see what was presented by
using the following link:
\\mightydog\Program Management\Cougar\Weekly Team
Meetings\05-2008\05-20-2008\Team Meeting Agenda 5-20-08.pps

Attendees: Brian S, Tim, Vikas, Dennis, Eugene, Rich, Brian M, Narayan,
Jonathan, Paul H, Sandrine, Paul N, Andy S, Larry, John R, Andy

Key decisions and actions from the meeting were as follows:
1)	Brian will be marking the parity error bug as fixed. It has
been addressed in hardware by using only SRAM with the proper date code
and in software by using the new retry algorithm.=20
2)	Brian has released the last 19 REVA motherboard fabs for
assembly. These should be available in about 10 days.
3)	Submittal 23 contains 16 MF defect fixes. It is ready to go but
may be delayed a day to pick up some significant changes from Jobi and
Jonathan.
4)	There are 2 restore defects (23646 & 23647) that need to be
resolved before 3.3 can go onto Mightydog. Once they are fixed it will
take QA about 4 days to verify they work. Vikas would like a patch with
these fixes on top of Submittal 23 rather than waiting for Submittal 24.
The Qual Team's CIFS and NFS performance tests are also a gate to
putting 3.3 on Mightydog.
5)	Narayan talked about the 4.0 beta customers. Shopzilla is
confirmed, and they may test here in Campbell before taking their system
back to Seattle. GX has dropped out, but LSI is confirmed. He is
waiting to hear back from NWG. Narayan is still working on determining
who should beta 3.3.
6)	We should proceed with lining up the beta installs the week of
6/16. Although it is not certain that the release will be ready for
beta start by that date, it will be good to get the HW up and running
even if the code has to be refreshed before they start testing.
7)	QA is concerned the same workflow can have different results
depending on which system it is run. They are investigating more, but
they may need DEV and HW help to resolve this issue.
8)	No decision yet about what to do about documenting in the RN
customer reported defects that are still open.
[Dennis] Working with Caeli and Rich to scope the defects that should be
published.

Please feel free to reply back to all with this message if you recall
anything important I may have missed.

Regards,

Andy
