That is okay but we will then need to work with the individual
developers that we plan to upgrade so that we do not negatively impact
their work on Cougar.

Very nice Brian. This will be a big help.

John can we secure the ports, rack space and cooling we need and
provision some storage in anticipation of these new assets (if needed
lets yank a few cougars). Thanks,

-Paul

Subject: Cougar systems

The hardware and ops groups are working on building up more Cougar
systems today, and I wanted to let you know what will be available in
the near future.

4 cluster-in-a-box chassis with Rev A motherboards -- these systems are
part of QE and Dev's Rev A allocation and will remain in the lab
3 cluster-in-a-box chassis with Rev 4 motherboards -- Beta systems, will
be pulled out of lab when we go to Beta

This is a total of 7 clusters (14 motherboards), which I'm hoping is
enough to meet the current demand for systems. Going beyond this number
won't be possible until we get the next build of Rev A motherboards that
is currently on hold pending more info on the Qlogic SRAM parity error.

I'll make these systems available to John as soon as they're ready.

Thanks,
Brian
