All,

If you missed Tuesday's meeting, then you can see what was presented by
using the following link:
\\mightydog\Program Management\Cougar\Weekly Team
Meetings\05-2008\05-06-2008\Team Meeting Agenda 5-6-08.pps

Attendees: Brian S, Tim, Vikas, Dennis, Eugene, Rich, Jonathan, Paul H,
Sandrine, Andy S, Larry, John R, Andy

Key decisions and actions from the meeting were as follows:
1)	Brian has most likely found the root cause and fix for the data
corruption bug. Jonathan will run more tests during the day to verify.
The fix is with the initialization code, so there will be a mandatory
PROM upgrade (to 1.6). This isn't quite ready, but it will be rolled
out when it is and not tied to any particular submittal.
2)	FW dump sent to Q-logic to help resolve the IO stall (a.k.a.
volume exception) issue.
3)	Submittal 21 will be ready to go today (5/6) or tomorrow. It
has fixes for 5 MF beta defects.
4)	QA will begin the 4.0 beta core regression test with Submittal
21. This has the known issues of the data corruption and IO stall, but
it was agreed at the end of last week to proceed with the testing in
hopes the fixes do not require a complete re-test.
5)	HCL is almost complete (95%) with the 3.3 core regression test.
Vikas will only have them run a smoke test on Submittal 21. They do not
need to redo the core regression test.
6)	Vikas to provide a target date when he thinks 3.3 will be ready
for Mightydog, but for sure it won't be next week. He wants to see how
it does on SuperSoak. He needs to review the open MF defects and make
sure none are Bobcat show stoppers. He also wants to make sure all of
the fixes in 3.2.0.4 have been incorporated into 3.3.
7)	Question raised whether or not 3.3 has been verified to work
with all of the arrays connected to Mightydog (Nexsan, LSI, and
DotHill). QA says they will verify the functionality as part of their
testing.
8)	Need Qual Team to verify 3.3 performance has not regressed
before we begin running on Mightydog.
9)	Not clear if the vsvr issue discussed in the last few meetings
has been resolved. Vikas to look into this and let Tim know.
10)	Dennis provided document review dates based on a 6/3 external
beta start. Brian confirmed we need the beta documents to be ready to
go by the first week in June.
11)	Dennis requested that CS review all open customer reported
defects to make sure the comments are documented properly since a list
of them will be included in the release notes.

Please feel free to reply back to all with this message if you recall
anything important I may have missed.

Regards,

Andy
