Hey Andy,

It looks like there was a kernel oops when I first rebooted after
changing the max mount count numbers. I have entered a defect for the
oops. I'm thinking I should close this defect (23071), then retest this
same process. I may enter a new defect for the failed fsck as well, but
I'm wondering if it is related to the oops. Do you agree with my logic
here? (as if I had any)

Here is most of the output after I issued the reboot command (after
having set the max mount count), which includes the oops and the fsck
failure:

Fsck should not exit with status 1. I don't know what that's about.
Check /var/log/messages at around that time, sometimes ext3
intentionally
logs more info there or /var/log/kern.log when it thinks it's only half
important.
