Yes, those are dynamic routes, they can not be deleted. Arp table shows
00 for the mac of 10.3.5.1. If we try deleting the arp entry, ping again
and it still fails, we have an issue with broadcast on 10.3.5.1

I checked the routing table of that vsvr, and it has some strange
entries
in it.  Maybe they just look strange to me because they are BSDish, but
10.3.5.1 is in there twice, and it seems to be the only address that
can't be pinged.  Possibly something is screwed up with the routing
table of this vsvr.  I tried but was not able to delete those routes,
which is possibly yet another bug, or possibly these are dynamic routes
that can't be deleted by hand.  But in theory that should be possible.
