I have no problem with developers attending the Cougar meeting.  As for
people wanting to help contribute, the message has been sent that all
they need to do is look in CQ and start working on Cougar defects.  I
know that Brian DeForest was given this message, although I have no way
of knowing if it made it to the System W folks.  I believe that Jobi and
his team have been very cooperative.
