Just a quick update... Turns out the problems I was seeing with
smbtorture test was a combination of a client that couldn't run the
tests and then after getting a client that was configured correctly;
running the tests with a typo in one of the key environment variables.
The smbtorture tests are able to run with the latest build of the dev
branch.

Subject: Holding submittal 8

There is a problem with SSC to FP/FC communications in today's build.
Evm is sending request to SDM which are targeted for the SCSI level, but
there is no response returning from the FP. This shows up in a couple of
places most notably when a LUN unlabel or label command is given. With
this build we are unable to do I/O management for LUNs.=20

Jeff and Jim are looking into the problem.=20

I also see a problem were all of the smbtorture tests fail. However, I
am able to browse the CIFS volume from a PC and access files so the
smbtorture issue doesn't seem to be an authentication problem. The
smbtorture tests ran fairly well in previous builds.

If there are no objections, I would like to hold off producing
submittal 8 until these issues are either fixed or investigated a bit
further.

Thanks,

Larry
