This support is also called Windows Workgroups. We do not support
Workgroups and have no plan to do so.

Subject: CIFS file service without Windows domain (i.e Workgroup)

I have a customer who is using NTAP now. They are considering replacing
NTAP with ONStor, but one of the obstacles is if ONStor CIFS works
without Windows domain. NTAP CIFS works without Windows domain, they
said.

I understand it is impossible. Our CIFS implementation requires Windows
domain, and LDAP works only with NFS as an equivalent of NIS. Is this
correct?

Any idea about using ONStor in non-domain Windows environment?
