Yes. I have been trying to track that problem down and so far found the
same things as you.=20

Question, not sure if you know this but, does the "modern Linux
implementation of NIS" use the domain name from /etc/resolv.conf? I
doubt it, but that is my only guess as to how NIS can be "discovering"
the name onstor.lab and using it.

Another buglet for youse: in perforce in the rootfs
section, /etc/defaultdomain is properly set to agilestorage, but after
doing a flash_install and booting that CF, it's onstor.lab which is
wrong of course. Not sure where it's going wrong though, but I'm
guessing initial-config?  I can find the phrase "onstor.lab" in only
two meaningful files on the CF card, /etc/resolv.conf, where it should
be, and /onstor/web/js/ip/manage.js, which is doing I-don't-know-what
with it but that's the webUI which has never been run on this machine.
So maybe it's not initial-config.  A mystery then.
