That's correct.  On Bobcat, the serial number is not updated.  Only the =
MAC address is changed when there's a field replacement so that WWNs are =
preserved.

On Cougar, we will have a chassis-level base MAC address that is =
distributed to each slot and then each slot will create its own unique =
MAC addresses based on slot number.  If a motherboard is replaced, no =
updates need to be done since the base MAC address will remain with the =
chassis.
