Paul,

The basic model for Delorean is as follows:

Major features are focused effort on file system hardening; improved
small file performance; kerberos authentication; GNS.

Minor features are to be discussed and added once we have a framework of
Development and QA schedules.

Additional "features" will focus on "limits", with expectation of
delivering some limits relief in Delorean plus making it a part of a
larger strategy that will carry on to future releases too. After
Monday's meeting, it seems clear that the Delorean limits relief ought
to focus on number of volumes.

The approach up to now has been to deliver high level engineering plans
for the major features at the Delorean project meeting this Friday.
Then, in parallel, QA develops high level plans to go with the major
feature development and Development commences analysis of the limits
proposition. The following Friday (or perhaps two Fridays hence) these
analyses are added to the project framework and we commence to discuss
and negotiate smaller features for the following week.

Under this plan we get a detailed and agreed project plan by December 8.

Is GNS commited to for Delorean? I have not been able to figure out if
this is in or not (at this point I am not quite sure what makes up
Delorean in general).=20
