Hi Brian,

Quoted is an email Larry sent to me and cc'd Tim this afternoon.
This is my reaction.

Well, these two are at it again, and they could barely wait until you
had a full day of vacation under your belt. And for me to work from
home for one day.

These "fixes" to the kernel makefile Larry is referring to, were
completely unnecessary, opposed by me, and in my own personal area of
responsibility. It's almost like they are trying to get me to go on
tilt or something. While the technical issue is not really a big deal,
well, I feel the trust is gone and with it my confidence that I can
deliver cougar on time. Not if I'm counting on these two to behave
like adults and not waste time on stupid stuff like this. There is
more to the story but I'll wait until we can talk over the phone or in
person.

I'm going to assume that Larry and Tim won't have any part of Larry
reporting to me, and, unless you tell me otherwise, I'm going to
relieve Larry of his responsibilities for any cougar tasks. I'm also
going to start immediately to find a replacement to work on those
responsibilities, because I can't do them myself forever. I'm hoping
for some support from Max who is capable of doing some of this Makefile
stuff without even adding an hour to his work week. Same goes for me.

I hate to have this happen. Especially when you're trying to enjoy
some family time, but things were sort of forced on me. I won't take
any drastic action until I hear from you but I will start to make some
preparations.
