Thanks Brian, although I'm not sure I followed all of that.

What I'm hoping is that somewhere there is an old bobcat mobo without
the LUC chip on it, possibly laying in a corner or holding a door open
or something ... any chance of that?  Prototype board made before we
decided to put the LUC chip on all models, something like that.
