OK, I will just do this:

do_system("echo '#!/bin/sh' > /etc/network/if-up.d/addroutes");

The system reboots, and first install will run then, since everything
important is toast.

Currently I am editing the IP addresses in the interfaces file,
changing them to 0.0.0.0
