Brian,

Here's the list including one read perf fix.  I need to know when and
what to signal the various developers to integrate to beta branch.

I think we should spin w/o the read perf fix(es), and do another
submittal later with those changes, as Max keeps finding more crap every
few minutes.

Oh, one more thing, the bugs above the double equals signs have already
gone into the branch.
