You can't just blindly make these changes.

You need to review the history of changes to a file to try and see why
it is like it is.  I made this change because it causes a kernel oops
under some circumstances.  See bug 23034 - kernel crash: DBE in
yenta_irq during shutdown.

You'll have to do something more creative than hitting reset on the FP.
