On your workstation with X11, the command

~andys/bin/extra_consoles_g6r5

will get you two xterm (eterm really) style windows with the consoles.
It will be "stealing" the sessions from whoever else was using it,
which is either you or me, so send an email first and wait for a
reply. If you don't get a reply for a long time, you can go ahead and
steal it, and if the other person was in the middle of something, it
will be obvious and that person can just steal it right back and no
harm done. Because the session is never disturbed, no one is logged
out, etc., everything like output, command history and so forth is
never lost.

I keep a complete log of everything in these sessions, in case you ever
need access to it. The log goes back as far as the session itself, so
it could be weeks or even months. Everything except actual passwords
is logged.

Cheers,

a
