Hi Rich,

OK, I've incorporated the feedback and fixed step 1. Learned something
in the process, too ~:^)

Below is the punched up procedure for upgrading the beta sites. As you
know, any GA system will not need to do any more than step #5.

Folks on the cc list, please review and send me any corrections,
changes, edits, etc.

Thanks,

a

----------------------
Beta Upgrade Procedure
----------------------

1. Log into appliance as root via ssh

2. Run the command

		setup appliance repository

This puts you into a vi edit session whereby you need to make
the lines in the file being edited look like the ones below.
It is important that each line begin with either "deb", "deb-src"
or "#". The '#' character marks comment lines.

# Main repository sources
deb http://upgrade.onstor.com/outbound/PanteraLS/nza elatte-stable main contrib non-free
deb-src http://upgrade.onstor.com/outbound/PanteraLS/nza elatte-stable main contrib non-free

# Third-party and open source plugins
deb http://upgrade.onstor.com/outbound/PanteraLS/plugins elatte-stable main contrib non-free
deb-src http://upgrade.onstor.com/outbound/PanteraLS/plugins elatte-stable main contrib non-free

3. Exit the edit session, writing out the file.

4. When they exit the edit session the system will refresh the list of
packages that need upgrading. They should see a successful status
message. If the refresh fails that means they may not be able to
    access our download server.

5. Next, run the command

		setup appliance upgrade

This will upgrade the appliance, including making a snapshot/clone of
the current system setup for possible rollback purposes, and will set
the appliance to boot to the new upgraded configuration, and reboot
the system. There will likely be one or two prompts during that
process to continue, the answers to those prompts should be obvious.

6. Congratulations, you've upgraded to GA release.
