That doesn't compute.  The client system would have no idea what is in,
or not in, the leopard's /etc/hosts file.

This has to be an issue on the leopard side.  Stuart's comments would
seem to make sense.  If they are correct, and I have no reason to
think they aren't, then that wouldn't be a bad thing to go into the KB
area.
