My reaction is based on the fact that eee and Linux are vastly
different worlds with regard to this sort of thing.  There's available
anti-spin/stall support and recovery, and of course we can use ye-ole
watchdogs as we want if we feel we still need to.  Not to mention
software watchdog support as well.
