Insert of meeting notes:

+ glasshouse people set up as contractors so access to lsi IT resources
will follow that model

+ glasshouse IM question -- IT is looking to setup a method and test
that after the holidays.

+ Larry: identifying MD data to be moved to Milpitas - will take some
slogging to get it correctly identified.

+ Apps and related -- IT will look into it. I mentioned that I tried
last night at 1.00am and it failed. Shawn tried it in Arnaldo's office
about 2.00ish, it failed. Larry filed a help desk ticket, and just
after it got escalated, it worked for him yesterday.

+ IT to look into what the folder size limits are on the public archive
folders and the email list folders.

+ Elab switches -- Rich Miller said Karen said she was content to wait
until Michael gets back from training and start work on the switches.
I said I was not content and wanted to remove all roadblocks. I asked
where the switches were and could we get them transfered over here.
They are apparently in Milpitas. Rich said he wasn't going to do that
today. Then someone chimed in (a woman), and said that the switches
needed configuring, and that would be a problem if we configured them
because her group is responsible for supporting them. I said we were
going to support ourselves on that, and she and Rich said that wasn't
what they understood was going to be the setup. I said that's the way
we need it to work, and the response was that we would have to get that
confirmed through Karen since she paid for the switches. She also said
'we support all network switches in all ESG labs'. What I didn't
mention at that time was that we are different: we have a networking
product and have to make constant changes to the config to do
development and testing, and I don't think ESG has any other lab with
those requirements.

So that is where it sits now, we need to get Karen to confirm our
desires in this matter before they will relinquish control of them.
