Some of this sounds a bit like what you and I talked about, Nelson.

But I must say, before I even opened it, I saw three things wrong with
it: it's sent out in proprietary M$ format; it was authored using
proprietary M$ software; it uses the term "Freeware" which no one that
actually knows anything about open source would ever use.  Not a good
start ~:^)  But it does demonstrate one of my points:  people are
gravitating in that direction regardless of lack of knowledge or
internal company support (or oft-times resistance): people
inherently know that this is a useful direction, and even occassionaly
say so out loud!
