Larry briefly ran a top on MD ssc, and ndmp_configd (?) is running at
about 20% cpu, which is a lot on the little old ssc.  I'm guessing the
cpu would be a lot more, but that it's doing many repeated network
requests of some type.  And by that I mean of a type it shouldn't be
doing.  As in they are all failing or timing out or something, causing
the whole train to run at a snail's pace.  Just a wild guess.
