Andrew Sharp has more than 25 years of computer industry experience. Concentrating most of his technical career in the areas of operating systems development and technical consulting, he has been involved with Linux and Open Source both operationally and functionally for more than 12 years, including many lines of code in the current Linux 2.6 kernel series. His techincal consulting experience ranges from advising the top executive staff at NCR to designing worldwide corporate computer networks for financial institutions. Work experience in Silicon Valley includes full time or consulting work at many startups, as well as Sun, HP, SGI, Fujitsu, HAL, Symantec/Veritas, Convergent, Sony and many more. A software developer who loves to code in the hardware lab, he has done bringup work on everything from television setop boxes to large SMP mainframes. These days he focuses on leveraging the Open Source development model for the enterprise.
